Assessment of the Possibilities of Monitoring the Phenological State of Vegetation Based On the Qualitative Characteristics of GNSS Signals
Tomaštík, Julián
Urban environments and vegetation cover are two of the most known examples of conditions that adversely affect the reception of GNSS signals. Despite the limitations, GNSS are used for determining the position in the forests during the implementation of various activities. Quantifying the impact of such an environment is very difficult due to its complexity and variability. The purpose of our experiment is to assess the extent to which the changes in phenology (e.g. leaf fall and growth) are observable on signal characteristics (especially C/N0, multipath, cycle slips). The monitoring station for this purpose was set up in the conditions of full forest cover, while a significant feature of the experiment is the focus on low-cost and freely available solutions. The content of the paper is an introduction to the methodology of the experiment and the presentation of preliminary results obtained during the first campaign in autumn 2023.
Signal processing and receiving in UMTS system
Hron, Michal ; Hanus, Stanislav (referee) ; Kejík, Petr (advisor)
This semestral thesis be concerned with datailed analysis of receiving and processing signals in UMTS network system. Insistence of this work is setting to principals of RAKE receiver and processing signals in CDMA networks downlink channel. Through development system MATLAB simulates real function of RAKE receiver. This project is giving fundamental knowledges about receiving and processing of multipath signals to readers.
Signal propagation in mobile communication systems
Julínek, Pavel ; Hanus, Stanislav (referee) ; Klozar, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to describe the basic principles and function of signal propagation in mobile communication systems. Closer look is taken at GSM and UMTS communication systems. The thesis deals especially with the problem of path losses, which occurs between transmitter and receiver. Possible propagation scenarios for cellular network are theoretically described. Also the propagation models for outdoor and indoor path loss prediction are described and simulated. The developed program estimates path loss and graphically represents the results of simulation for various model parameters, environments and scenarios.
Vplyv pracovných podmienok stroja na presnosť stanovenia jeho polohy
Petrek, Dávid
The thesis deals with the possibility of fixing the position of the machine through the use of satellite systems for agriculture. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes three chapters, which are described most famous satellite navigation systems which include GPS systems GLONAS, Galileo and Beidou. Most attention is paid to the GPS system, the work is described its history, functions, each system accuracy, influences affecting the precision guidance signals and correcting their mistakes. Error correction is divided into DGPS, RTK and VRS RTK systems. This is followed by describing the indicators that affect the accuracy of broadcast signals from space satellites. The last theoretical part describes the benefits of parallel guidance of machinery in agriculture in collaboration with boundary management. The practical part is focused on field trail measure, which described the impact of working conditions stand for precision guidance for land assessment and evaluation of the measurement results.
